DigiTimes has revealed that NVIDIA’s nForce4 SLI Intel Edition chipset will cost motherboard manufacturers as much as $80$30 more than Intel’s 925XE and 955X chipsets. Despite its high price, Abit, Asus, Albatron, Gigabyte, Foxconn, and MSI are ready to ship high-end motherboards based on the chipset. In fact, Asus has already issued a press release detailing its P5ND2-SLI, which features an external Serial ATA port, passive chipset cooling, DDR2 720 support, and apparent CPU multiplier control.
