Ah, as much as I wish all the P45 boards still out there would be SLI enabled, that wouldn't give people incentive to upgrade to X58.

I recall from a while back people talking about cracking the BIOS of SLI-enabled boards so as to try and bring that over to P35/P45/X38/X48. Did anyone even attempt that?

SLI support has always been locked by Nvidia drivers. They do this with BIOS checks. It looks like Nvidia gave MSI the green light for their X58 line.

Any chipset with at least two physical 16x PCIE slots can do SLI. It is the same story with CF.

Edit: I meant in theory.
