Why is JEDEC "Formerly known as the Joint Electron Device Engineering Council" when that's what the acronym stands for?

The great thing about ssd is its very unlikely to just fail altogether so you know months in advance when you need to replace one and in an enterprise system it should be easy enough to handle that on the fly.

How about being able to change EVERY 1 or 0 on the drive, every 10 seconds, for several years. There's something to shoot for.
