launched today - looks like it starts @ $349.
and the only OS choice - Ubuntu - lists as "may delay your Inspiron 9 ship date". prelim ship date on a white one comes up as 10/9. wowzers! finally, max of 2 year warranty, with a cost of 1/3rd the price of the system. |

Aside from the function and right shift keys, and the already-mentioned single/double quote key, what is up with the braces and square brackets (should make posting at TR fun) and plus/minus/equals etc keys. Ugh. There are so many ways this keyboard would frustrate me I don't think I'd use it even if it was free.

I don't use right shift much. Actually, might not use it ever. That functionality happens by my left ring finger sliding down to left shift, so I wouldn't miss it.
The function key thing is kind of upsetting, though. I guess I'm the exception that proves the rule, but adding YET ANOTHER key to VT switching is possibly too much. |

Apparently the Ubuntu equivalent will be £269.
Wonder how much it will be reduced if they use an 8 or 4 GB SSD.
