Maybe it's just me, but I have a heck of a time following the AMD and Nvidia chipsets for AMD now that they've adopted such similar numbering conventions. Articles refer to SB750 and 750a, and there are 780 and 790GX. Confusion with a purpose?

While we are on the subject of nVidia motherboards/chipsets, where the heck are the long-promised nVidia MCP7A (9300 and 9400) Intel motherboards?? Cyril, can you shed any light on this ?

This is nice that Nvidia is doing this because it really opens up AMD's market to more lower-income enthusiasts. ;-)
A GTX 260+750a combo is a nice setup for any Phenom. I can't wait to see if either AMD's or Nvidia's ACC implementation performs any better over the other. Theoretically they should work exactly the same since it's up to the CPU binning that determines overclocking potential. ACC will be a nice addition to nTune too. We'll see though. |
