Very very happy with my PS3, was so unhappy with the noise from my 360, I sold it.
Now they finally announce the option to load to HDD, so I may re-consider picking up a nice shiny new 120gb model in a few months when they use a more reliable motherboard.

I love price wars.

199.99 is already having me thinking i want an xbox 360.

This is cheaper than the Wii. Maybe this time they can cut into some nintendo's gold this holiday.

I own both, and from a purely gaming standpoint the 360 is better, but only slightly so.

1. It has a better controller for sure

2. It has more games, but this is fading fast as all new 3rd party games now come out at the same time. A year ago you had to wait a few months for a COD4 or whatever to come out for the PS3.

3. Xbox Live is better than PSN network but.....today PSN at 2.42 or whatever it is close enough that the $50 price tag for Live is just not worth it anymore, at least for me, others may use it more than me.

After that the 360 gets its @$$ handed to it by the PS3. The PS3 does not RROD, is silent compared to a 360, produces way less heat, has BLUE RAY, and for me a really big advantage is "User replaceable Hard Drive". I bought a 320gig Hard Drive on newegg for $159 two months ago and I have a nice movie collection sitting on my PS3.

Once Blue Ray wont that war, its been nothing but higher sales for the PS3. I read something a few weeks ago that the Xbox 360 has been in 3rd place month to month console sales for the last 4 months. Prior to that in the US only it was #2, but the PS3 has pushed past it 4 months in a row.

Ahhhhh Microsoft they see the PS3 closing in, as PS3 sales start to climb. Of course at $199 it does not help the PC game market too much.

HD-DVD + RROD could be, when we someday look back at this generation, be the things that put the 360 in last place.

"09/07/08" or they mean 2009-07-08.. which would be like a year away.
