If I had $549 burning a hole in my pocket, I would spend it on a solid-state drive. I would see much more benefit from that (and it would eliminate noise instead of introducing it with "3 tiny fans")

CPU caches have been mostly hiding main memory speeds for over a decade. Does having this memory affect real-world performance in any noticable way?
What percentage faster is this Corsair DDR3 compared to generic, cheap, DDR2? |
