I am more interested in knowing when the e5x00 and the q8x00 series is coming. Also from what I have heard the q8x00 has 4MB of L2 cache which is half of q6600. I do not understand this. This means even though the newer quad core can accomodate more cache, it does not and would ultimately end up slower than the q6600. Strange strategy by Intel.

ignoring the 4 cores and hyperthreading and the new SSE set, a 3ghz Nehalem will run software just as fast as a 3.3ghz core2duo. and that's assuming they use the old slow test mobos
