The 900 Linux in Oz comes with 20GB (4+16) and the 900 XP comes with 12GB (4 + 8), both are the same price.

I wish these things would get smaller not bigger.

That right shift key looks like a pain. Does the keyboard appear as a PS2 device in the system? Have you tried using a scancode mapper to map RShift to Up and vice versa?

Unless it has a DVD drive and can play DVD movies I would never be interested.

My 8-year-old daughter has been playing with one of the 4G models and loves it. She took to the user interface immediately and has been using the educational apps, games and web surfing.

Any ideas on the pricing for the 10" and 10.2" models to come? These models seem much more attractive to me now that my gaming has gone way down and I no longer feel the need for a laptop with that. Instead I'm looking to focus on compact size, good wifi, and battery life.

I predict some people will shell out for this even tho it is 'too small' just to get XP instead of Vista when it makes it to Best Buy and Circuit City.

I'm saying that even though I run and like Vista on my game PC, a HTPC, and I support the spousal and kiddo units that have XP. So I'm not a hater either way. Just an observation.

You see that right shift key? Most annoying key positioning I've ever used. It's the same on the 900.

Heh. How's that for devaluing inventories? The 900 hit the US in May and, within 2 months, saw a 27% price drop. I guess there is some competition, huh? I also guess I should have waited 2 months before buying the 900.

HDMI would be great. Even some cheap laptops like the Dell 1525 have it.

These look really great - my only wish would be to replace the VGA output with DVI (or HDMI). The price is starting to creep back up there too - if it had DVI I could see myself buying a couple when they get back down to the $400 range.
