Will these price cuts have any bearing on mobile processor prices?

A few weeks ago I read somewhere that Intel has a new Penryn stepping underway that will further improve on idle power. I think I read that at Fudzilla but am not sure. Anyone have more details on this?

I hope Intel will launch a Q9350 or some thing with the -50 ending name.
I like the q9300 but one half of memory for a 200 euro processor, is not good, in a way isn't really a Penryn with only 6mb.
I really need a real quad Penryn in well under 200 euros or 270$.(the currency is exchange is killing me).
Dual core for a new build is the best deal this year , but I'm looking for more then 2 years with no upgrades.

VR-Zone had some details on the price cuts a few months ago --

http://www.vr-zone.com/articles/Intel_Upcoming_Desktop_CPU_Price_Cu...

As per this, there'll be a new E8600 at the $266 price point, pushing the E8500 down to $183, the E8400 down to $163 and the E8200 superseded.

There'll be a new E7300 at the $133 price point, pushing the E7200 down to the $113 price point and the E4600 superseded.

There'll be a new Q9650 at the $530 price point, pushing the Q9550 down to the $316 price point and replacing the Q9450 with a Q9400 with half the cache at the $266 price point, superseding the Q9300.

The Q6600 already seems to have dropped to the $203 price point. The Q6700 is superseded by the Q9400.

Just in time for my new build :) Looks like I'll be getting an E8500 instead of an E8400.

Intel is really sticking it to AMD.

The E8600 will just be the icing on the cake. If AMD lowers their prices any further they're gonna have to start buying E-Machines for the employees to use at work.

On one hand, price cuts from nVidia are definitely not enough, but on the other hand, intel's price cuts should make AMD officials sweat hard under the suits.
