I can't see LimitNone actually getting that full claim, since it is highly debateable whether 50 million people who used something after getting something for free would have bought it otherwise. On the other hand, if their case is strong, I can see Google buying the entire company for a half billion just to make the suit go away and snap up whatever software patents LimitNone has filed to date.

Wow, I was trying to look at their applications and...they don't exist anymore. No reference to them at all at limitnone.com, and the cached versions don't tell you anything.
Apparently LimitNone has decided to become an iPhone company with no current product, which makes me think that it's one guy in his free time and that Google's relationship with him may be...not very formal. |
