My E6300 can do 3.5 ghz easily bought almost 2 years ago for $135. Not much has changed in the OC dept. of C2D.

Ugh, I feel old. Unless I'm building a box for a CPU-intensive application, I don't like paying over $100 for a CPU these days. On the AMD side of things, I like the X2 4400 Brisbane for $69 from ZZF if a good OC'ing mobo is being used and the "Black Edition" 5000 for $87 if not. I'd rather put the extra money into a good, quiet cooler (Thermalright UE120) than a few hundred stock MHz

Sweet CPU. I'd really like to get virtualization for that price as a budget server rig, not that I would use it right away but the option would be nice. I suppose waiting for a used E8000 would have to do for that.
