240W? If that's not a typo, that alone would get me out of the running for one of these. That's a LOT of heat to move!!

I'll wait til rev. 2, when they'll get the accelerated video decode features right.

I'll also wait to make sure DirectX 10.1 is officially supported.

This is why I'm sticking with my 8800 GT until something truly better comes along for mid-range cards. By the time the 9900 GTX launches it hopefully not require so much juice but I'm not holding my breath.

On the other hand, 512bit memory and 32 ROP units might make this the first real card for Crysis on Very High.

Ah, it's great to have so little time that I only just managed to purchase Half-Life 2 Episode 2. My X1950 Pro does an admirable job with this game.

Two (soon three) generations old video hardware FTW!

Edit: by the way, Valve has just dropped the price of all Orange Box games on Steam. HL2 EP2 now only costs $15! For those who have not played the game yet, now is the time to buy!!!

(I do not work for Valve, just love their games.)

At this point, NV should put a label on the box of the annual cost of electricity in killowatt hours that will cost the consumer, as prices for electricity will climb even higher as fuel costs keep rising.

Why don't we just wait and see what the card has to offer before we judge it?

Give me a 9900 GT at $299 please. Not too much to ask I'm sure, as within 6 months nVidia will have forgotten their statement of "too many models" and in actuality will have the full gamut of GS, GT, GTS, GTX, Ultra cards, all with multiple Ram spec's and clock frequencies.

Seems like 65nm will put them at a significant disadvantage vs ATI's upcoming GPU of doom.

OMG, I have all this money ready to go spend on new expensive video cards.

I got a V10 SUV with a full tank of gas running 24/7, so there's no delay on driving to my nearest computer store so I can be the first to own the latest graphics card for my PC. At least until the next 6 month cycle...

It's all about the $300+ graphic cards.
