I would personally get a 8800GT if I could get it below-200 shipped... The half-amount of SP in the 9600GT compared to the 8800GT could very well be detrimental in future shader-heavy games...

For under $200 (with rebate), you can get an 8800GT with 512 mb.

ive purchased two of these Palit 9600GT Sonic for SLI. However, i got it at around $172.00 (PhP7750.00). Same clocks as the one commonly reviewed but looks different.
Gonna pair these cards with an E6700 CPU. :) Here's how the card I got looked. http://www.palit.biz/main/vgapro.php?id=629 |

I just ordered the Palit 9600GT that TR reviewed, no SLI for me though, I love my P35 board, 780i boards expensive for less features/quality..
Gotta love directcanada.com, an hour after I place my order, its shipped! |

I like how the Newegg link includes NA NA NA! I'm about ready to upgrade both C&GPU, but can't decide...

You forgot to mention the Palit card used those higher quality gizmos that allow for longer lifetime and even higher overclocking, a practice such mid range cards are highly prone to getting.
