How about Microsoft withdraws its offer and gives Yahoo shareholders a taste of the high teens again?

Microsoft should buy google instead. Microsoft is a lousy website maker. This will make yahoo go deep below the abyss.

Seems like they'll get the current board kicked out then offer the shareholders more than this current offer just to be dicks.

M$ should let Yahoo tank some more and then come back to the table; it's M$ that's printing money while Yahoo is bleeding a slow death.

The variability of MS's own stock price also makes it hard to see how that could be used to decline the offer. The odds that MS's stock is not going to go back up again seems low, and declining the offer today could mean that tomorrow they've lost out on an offer worth even more if MS's stock climbs higher than it was at the time of the offer.
I just don't understand business. Or politics. Or stocks and analysts and all that other made-up hooey.
