:o0 If leaked benchmarks are true and the 9600GT is a little faster than the 8800GS it seems strange since (on paper) the 8800GS has a third more core power while the 9600GT has a third more memory bandwidth. The past has given us much reason to prefer core power over memory bandwidth; 9500Pro vs 9600Pro, 7600GT vs 6800GT, X1900GTv1 vs X1900GTv2 etc. Surely the 8800GS isn't that constrained by its 192bit memory subsystem? I still don't think this thing's worth waiting around for.

Dang, this is a perfect card for my comp, and shouldn't stress my power supply too much.

9600gt is a nice card but it is no better than 3850 already released months ago with very similar prices. On top of that let's not forget AMD has 2900pro 512meg in $150 bracket.
It seems Nvidia has been trying to match AMD price segments after the release of 3000 series. |

I had expected 3850s to fall below $170 by now down to the $150s range. It shouldn't be long I think, especially after the GF9600GT hits.
