Everybody bought 8800GTS's and 2900XT's for Crysis just to find out our cards are weaksauce! I can't run the game on High at 1680x1050 at a constant 30fps on my OC'd 2900XT 512mb. It runs great at 1440x900 (22" 16:10 monitor) though but I miss my native 1680x1050 resolution. Oh wellz, I'll have money for the R680 or R700 when they roll around. AMD is getting back on their feet and we'll see how good the news is come November 16th.

ATI was on the downfall well before AMD bought them.

Surely AMD reviewed ATI's future tech and financial position before buying them, they could easily have made a decision yay or nay.

AMD management at its best!

Quote "On the other hand, ATI started to drop the market share in Q3 2006, when its management agreed to sell the company to AMD. When AMD executives gained control over the graphics company in Q4 2006, the company began to lose ground in the graphics market."

With nVidia's G92 it looks like it will only get worse for AMD.
