When they fit the rest of the ipod line with the same output components that the ipod shuffle has, then I'll be happy. Too bad the shuffle doesn't have an EQ or I'd buy it in a second.
The shuffle sounds ten times better than the ipod or the nano yet it costs less though still has less features. You'd think they'd put the better quality components on the higher priced stuff. |

Too much money. I can get DVD's for around that price. Plus there won't be any extras. It's just the film.
These downloads should not cost a dime more then $7.99. I would price them at $4.99. |

Biggest disappointment? No iPhone. I really think this would have been a category killer, but it may never come to pass. The analysts keep predicting this and Apple continues to disappoint them.
Biggest surprise? The Shuffle. Take a good look at this thing. It's a design marvel. Yes, I realize it doesn't have a screen, but look at this thing. From an engineering and design perspective, it's a work of art. http://www.apple.com/ipodshuffle/ I may get one just to have one. |

The new iTunes is making me happy so far...I've got two computers with currently not-quite-synced libraries, and the (so far as I know) blatantly-ripped-off album views and stuff are fun.

Biggest thing I was surprised at was that they increased the size of the iPod while lowering the price, I would have thought they would keep the prices the same, so kudos to them.

The new Nano is pretty nice as well, though the non-neutral colors (read: those other than black, white, sliver) are not my thing.
Apple is smart to go into video in a bigger way, but I doubt they'll go far enough with the "iTV" and I never had the need for video on an iPod. Maybe it'll pan out, though, if big content allows for a reasonable pricing structure (I won't count on it, though).
I don't plan on switching away from my third-gen 30gb iPod any time soon, I already have a DVR at home, and don't need color, or movie support. It interfaces with my new car deck, and that's all I really need.
