" While early screenshots of Team Fortress 2 depict graphics similar to the original Half-Life's "

This is actually a shot of Team Fortress Classic for the Half-Life Engine. That is not an early Team Fortress 2 shot.

Did HL2:Episode 1 do really bad in terms of sales or something?

I just don't understand why they would be releasing this with Ep2 otherwise.

I also seem to remember TF2 was supposed to be bundled with HL2?!?

And I remembering this wrong? Seems like a rip off if not.

This sucks! This TF2 is really TFC2, not the Team Fortress 2 game that won Game Of The Year award in 1999. It was supposed to be Battlefield with an overview commander and scenarios...

This looks like a toy version of TFC. Sure, I loved TFC, the best of all Valve games I think and the most fun and I will love playing TFC2, but where is the *real* TF2?

I really miss the look/feel of QWTF... that was the best game ever made.

TFC totally ruined it :T Hopefully TF2 is lots of fun!

TF is so old skool. Way better gameplay in more recent games. Any game without a vehicle just doesn't cut it anymore. I mean, what? No carjacking or drive by's?

Is it just me, or does the texture mapping on the walls and the terrain seem a bit old, and not quite in line with the capabilities of the Source engine?

Or could they just be early screenshots, and not yet optimised?

If it was released back when it was promised it would have been a pretty innovative squad based shooter. Now that so many class and squad based games have come out (i.e. enemy territory, desert combat, ut2004, battlefield 2 etc.) I'm not sure there will be anything we have not seen before. At any rate, I really enjoyed team fortress classic a few years ago so I'm sure this will be a lot of fun.

This news is kind of old.

Anyway, it's not TF2. They scrapped their original plans I see.

At best this is Team Fortress Classic on the Source engine. I'll pass.

First Prey, now TF2... 2006 will be the year of vaporware, it seems. Can DNF and the Phantom console be far behind? Is it destiny?
