Should be fun :)

Do you have any idea on how long the draft will last?

Also, what happens is 2 or 3 people don't show up for the draft, do they just get auto picked?

I'll join if it's rotosserie. Head to head is just too depressing.

The draft will take an hour or so. If you don't show Yahoo will autopick for you based on its rankings unless you set different rankings. In my experience drafts go quicker if more managers are live. Even though we all know that Yahoo will auto-pick the highest-rated remaining player it always waits until the last second to do so. Draft slots are usually 90 seconds long; it's the rare day that I take 45 seconds to pull the trigger.

Same here, the couple times I could actually make the draft. It's at a good time this year, I should be able to do it. It's also alot of fun to watch idchafee curse Kevin because they're drafting from the same list. ;)

I'm open to either system. All I'm set on is daily roster moves. Any thoughts?

I'm partial to head to head myself... but Rotiserrie was fun too.. One thing I don't like too much about rotisserie though is that it's hard to catch up to the leaders if you fall behind.. Head to Head you aren't out of it until the playoffs...

Rotisserie is OK, but I really like head-to-head, as to me it seems like it's easier for a manager to dig himself out of a hole, because stats don't aggregate.

How locked-in are we to that draft date/time? I ask because, the middle of the week, at 11 EDT is a bit tough for me (with getting up before 6 for work and all).

Hey any openings left? if so, I am game.....I am guessing this is a non salary league where everyone just takes the best player next (according to the position that is next) is this correct? Time slot is fine with me, if I can't make it, auto draft isn't always the worse if you can make good smart moves. Sign me up!!!!

Right, no salary cap so nobody is stuck with So Taguchi (unless they want to be, and then they're just throwing the league). Looks like there's still 2 slots, budman007, just send a PM to idchafee.

I'm not married to it, but I think a weekday evening draft would the easiest for people to make and Y! doesn't have oodles of weekday evenings available.

I'll look at times.

An hour earlier some weekday night would be OK, but Wed and Thurs nights, 9pm CDT is the earliest I can be on. But no matter who it is, the draft time taht the *most* people can make would be the best.

According to Yahoo, draft day is "is 8 days, 10 hours, and 24 minutes from now", so mark your calendars!

Hopefully by then we'll have a good feel for who's going to be on the DL opening day and who will be ready to go.

I am ready.

I have a few questions though:

Is there a special applet or some sort of "draft page" to show you who has been drafted and when it is your turn?
Is your TOP 25 really relevant? Can you pick people in whatever order you choose?

Yahoo has a Java applet that shows the whole draft process. It works well. The "Top 25" thing is all about you rating/ranking players differently than Yahoo's default rankings so that if you spent draft night passed out on the couch Yahoo would pick your team according to your rankings instead of Yahoo's.

Yeah, there's a java applet. its pretty sweet.

Y! only uses the top 25 if you're not at the live draft.

You do have a pretty scary pitching staff....
I believe Week 1 is from March 26th - April 6. The way I count it, its possible (though unlikely I suppose) that Dice-K could pitch 3 games in that span (in 3 different countries).
