The next chapter in the Call of Duty series will arrive on PCs in just over two months, Shacknews reports. Call of Duty: World at War is coming out on Armistice Day—November 11—for the PC, Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, Wii, and Nintendo DS (you read that right). Some folks will get to play before then, since Activision and Treyarch plan to get multiplayer betas going for the PC and Xbox 360 next month.
Activision's official press release claims those betas will set let players loose in "the intense chaos of Call of Duty: World at War's Pacific and European theaters." Gamers will get acquainted with the shooter's squad system, too, along with "fan favorite perks and kill streaks."

Like Call of Duty 3, this latest title is the product of Californian developer Treyarch and not CoD series creator Infinity Ward. However, an old article by ComputerAndVideoGames.com says World at War will use the same engine as Call of Duty 4.
