Remember when Valve said its zombie shooter Left 4 Dead was supposed to come out on November 4? Well, apparently there's been a little setback. Shacknews reports that Valve now intends to release the title on November 18 in North America.
News came from Valve's marketing chief Doug Lombardi, who pointed out that the release will coincide with the tenth anniversary of the original Half-Life. However, Lombardi clarified that Valve delayed the launch for "fine tuning" rather than mere pomp. Also, gamers in Europe will have to wait until November 21 to get their hands on the title.
Left 4 Dead should hit both the PC and the Xbox 360 on launch day. The game is based on the Source engine that powers Half-Life 2 and its derivatives, and it features co-operative gameplay in a zombie-filled post-apocalyptic environment. Hit Shacknews' screenshot gallery for some eye candy.
