Nvidia announces $172.7 million Q2 profits
Nvidia has announced impressive second quarter profits of $172.7 million—nearly double the company's net income for the same period last year. Those profits rode $935.3 million in revenues for the quarter, which is a good $76 million ahead of analyst expectations. Revenues were also 36% higher than for the same quarter of 2006, when Nvidia pulled in $687.5 million.
